A Witcher, also known as the White Wolf or the Butcher of Blaviken. As a child, his mother Visenna left Geralt in the witch’s castle Kaer Morhen, where he trained to become a monster slayer.

A bard who accompanied Geralt on many of his travels and produced and performed songs from the continent. Jaskier had a nose for adventure, but not much stomach for it. He travelled with Geralt on several monster hunts, at one point almost losing his life to an evil djinn, and found inspiration for some of the world’s most famous ballads.

Geralt of Rivia helped Emhyr var Emreis (with the alias ‘Duny’) from being killed and lifting his curse. Duny, filled with gratitude, was willing to give the Witcher any reward he asked for. Geralt asked for the Law of Surprise, an oath-binding magical law that has unexpected results. It turned out that Duny’s bride Pavette was pregnant when this oath was taken and that the fate of the child, Princess Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon and Geralt were forever entwined.
